Creek Show returns November 9-17, 2018 for nine-nights of free light-based, site-specific art installations along Waller Creek. This year’s Creek Show returns in a slightly different location, creating new opportunities for designers and opportunity for audiences to engage with neighboring businesses in the Red River Cultural District.
Stroll along the creek, betweeth and 9th & 11th Streets, while taking in six new illuminating works of light-based art. The 2018 “Creek Show Lounge” will be located at a a newly renovated Symphony Square and offers attendees a place to relax, enjoy interactive activities, live music, and exciting opportunities to learn about the Waller Creek parks project.
Presented by Waller Creek Conservancy, Creek Show is an outreach program designed to surprise and delight audiences with outstanding light based art installations that celebrate, support, and educate the community on the importance and impact transforming Waller Creek will have on Austin's social, cultural, and ecological future. Launched in 2014 as a one night event, Creek Show has grown in popularity each year with an estimated 20,000 attendees wandering in wonder through along the creek installations each year.
